Stage 1 : Report on paintworks and structureThis early mgb roadster was brought into us to report on Its' structure. Shellit was subsequently decided that the cost effective route would be to strip the shell and order a new one from bmh. Although some aspects of the shell are different the customer was happy to proceed. The new shell was complete with all panels. Body workthe vehicle and all panels are scotched and prepared ready for minimal filling on the body. With the shell on a body spit(for full access to begained) it is primed then rubbed down and checked over prior to top coat. The shell is sealed up to prevent water ingress.Application of the top coat is carried out in two stages, whilst the body can be rotated throughout the painting application. First the inside and underneath then we apply the top coat to the outer body. All panels are painted later.Stage 2 | Back to Project
